This isn't a new Pokemon idea, but there's no other section of this forum that I could really put this under.
I propose we give Sneasel and Weavile the Technician ability. They desperately need something to make up for their complete disappearance from the competitive scene at the hands, err... scissors, of Scizor. And Technician would be a welcome boost to them very much.
Among Weavile's movepool options that benefit from Technician are Faint Attack, Ice Shard, and, most importantly, Pursuit. STAB Technician Pursuit would be a lovely new weapon for it to exploit.
So, thoughts?

*bows down to KE*
I would love that. This could boost his purpose in competitive play!

KillingEdge, you have just made everyone but me worship you in 3 days. Now, good idea, because Scizzor is getting quite annoying.

Frankly I think Weavile is powerful enough without technician, only being less used nowadays due to it being pretty frail and unable to take stealth rock hits.

Weavile's best STAB move has 75 base power, that being Ice Punch. And, even then, the prevalence of priority and other Scarfed threats often forces him to use the even weaker Ice Shard just to deal damage. Then, he's absolutely screwed if Scizor comes in because he can't do jack to it, only being able to retreat, and Scizor will no doubt predict that and smack Weavile upside the head with Pursuit.
So, yeah, no. Weavile isn't powerful. Powerful would imply it being able to actually function in the metagame, which it clearly cannot do with its current abilities.

His best attack as of now with STAB is Ice Punch, only having 75 BP.
Faint Attack could at least get 90 + STAB = 135.
Pursuit was already mentioned.
Since he isn't used due to his weaknesses, why not toughen him up since he deserves OU tier but can be fixed where he isn't killed most of the time?

Giving him technician wouldn't give him any more ability to stop Scizor than he does now.

But it will help him deal with other Pokemon than Scizor.
What about the Pokemon that AREN'T Scizor? This could help much better!

No, but it would give him more reason to be used. The fact that he can't deal with Scizor is only one of many problems Weavile currently faces. Giving him Technician would maybe boost his usage without overpowering him, at the very least. s
Another thing to think about. A Scizor switch-in against Weavile would, in theory, be a great chance to switch in HP Fire Magnezone to end Scizor. Right?
But why don't people do this? Because Weavile can't do anything else but be Scizor bait.

I can't find any more disagreements, and it's honestly probably a good idea. He only has pressure, of all things. Technician would even make sense on him.
