Dragon Dance Armagonex
Armagonex @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate/Mountaineer
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spe / -Sp.Atk) / Adamant Nature (+Atk / -Sp.Atk)
- Dragon Dance
- Roost / Earthquake
- Fire Punch
- Outrage
Armagonex gets STAB on the Fire/Dragon unresisted combination of attacks, bar Heatran, making it an extremely useful sweeper if used correctly. Dragon Dance is a given on a set like this, boosting Armagonex's respectable attack and speed stats. With Armagonex's plethora of resistances, it shouldn't be all that difficult to get in a Dragon Dance or two. After you've gotten a dance in, start sweeping with Fire Punch and Outrage. Outrage is an incredibly powerful attack with STAB, and Fire Punch kills steels that resist it. Roost can be used to recover damage recieved while using Dragon Dance or from Stealth Rock and Life Orb, but you can use Earthquake too, making Armagonex have truly perfect coverage, getting rid of the only Pokemon to resist Fire/Dragon...Heatran.
The ability is a tough pick. If you're using Mountaineer, you should use Earthquake as your second attack. Not getting hit by Stealth Rock is incredibly useful for a fire type. If you're using Intimidate, you might want to use Roost. Taking 25% from Stealth Rock on a sweeper isn't very fun for this guy, and Life Orb and Sandstorm damage can really make this guy fall pretty quickly.
