If I remember correctly, Red's team in Silver/Gold/Crystal was
Pikachu Lv.81
Espeon Lv.73
Snorlax Lv.76 (or 75, can't remember)
Venusaur Lv.77
Charizard Lv. 77
Blastoise Lv.77
Yeah, I've played it so many times.
Anyway, we should try to make it sort of like that.
Or higher. But we would have to make a very long main quest

I say, in order to fight the rival, you should have to have a special requirement. (Such as complete the pokedex and talk to the professer and he'll mention your rival has entered the Elite 4 or such =P)

Uh I dont know how to be more clear...
To fight your rival at the end of the elite 4, you could finish the pokedex (5th gen) and the professer would mention to you about your rival =P

Wow. Finishing the Pokedex? The entire 550 or so+ Pokedex?
Only a select few even finish D/P/Pt Pokedex, but to finish an even bigger Pokedex just to fight the last boss?

^ No not the National Dex. I meant this regions Dex. Since could be an extra boss that you dont necessarly have to fight. Your choice.

Cause it would be cool that if you come back to the elite 4 for a second time, but your rival is champion because he defeated the real champ already |
