Brought me to have the 3rd highest record on all of netbattle. This does not count people that do not visit anymore. Like, people that three years ago had awesome records but haven't battled since. They don't count.
This team pretty much goes all out like all you nubs do. It also contains three UU Pokemon, like my other good team.
Wins: 207
Losses: 126
Ties: 3
(Win Rate: 61%)
Magmortar (F) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Flame Body
EVs: 4 Def / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Fire Blast
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Ghost]
- Thunderbolt
With Choice Scarf his speed reaches almost 400, outspeeding nearly anything and killing so, so much. Focus Blast kills every Heatran I've ever seen (as long as it hits), Fire Blast for crazy STAB, HP Ghost to kill Gengar, and Thunderbolt cause it's a good move.
Tangrowth (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Chlorophyll
EVs: 252 HP / 228 Def / 28 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip
- Sleep Powder
Don't underestimate it. Nearly impossible to kill without a strong flamethrower or ice beam, he'll always get something to sleep. My strategy is to sleep something, leech seed, then switch to a sweeper depending on what I've seeded. Power Whip rapes things, and Earthquake is for pesky steels. I hate Bronzong. I can Leech Seed stall them if I have to.
Swampert (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 240 HP / 176 Def / 1 Spd / 53 SAtk / 40 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Earth Power
- Ice Beam
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic
Oh, yes indeed. Poison Something, put up rocks, and use my attacks. He walls like a beast. The second half of my support crew.
Tyranitar (F) @ Lum Berry
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Crunch
- Dragon Dance
- Fire Blast
- Stone Edge
The late game guy. I only bring him out once every 10 games because I just don't need to because I've won before I need him. With Lum Berry, it assures I don't get put to sleep if he's my last Pokemon, and stops Toxic Spikes from pretty much ending the game right there. Fire Blast hits steels harder than Fire Punch will if I can't Dragon Dance, so I went for that. Crunch and Stone Edge are lolwut STAB that hurts things.
Medicham (F) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Pure Power
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Hi Jump Kick
- Ice Punch
- Psycho Cut
- Thunderpunch
Holy fuck in the ass balls. Try this guy, I'm not even kidding. What other Pokemon reach 420 attack and 430 speed without set up? Nothing, exactly. The scarf doesn't even matter. With all ghosts out of play, I've swept everything with just Hi Jump Kick. It's unfortunate this guy doesn't learn Close Combat. He probably doesn't for a reason, cause it would pwn so much. Psycho Cut is my ultimate Infernape killer. Ice Punch gets dragons and lot. I don't use Thunderpunch much, but not much else would go here.
Scizor (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Technician
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bullet Punch
- Superpower
- Swords Dance
- X-Scissor
I'm sure you all know how this guy goes. I'm using lots of HP EVs to keep him alive longer. I don't use Life Orb because it's very rare I don't get a Swords Dance up, so I don't really need it. This and Medicham create an ultimate combo of holy shit rape and it kills so many things you can't comprehend. Just like Medicham, I've swept all six Pokemon of a team with only one move.
I only have one real special attacker for a reason. Special Walls are extremely common in the metagame. Special sweepers that require set up just have Blissey brought in and they can't even hurt it, so they'll switch out, wasting all the set up. How many Pokemon can do that to a physical sweeper, though? The highest defense stat in the game to my knowledge is Shuckle with 230, but lets just say Steelix cause Shuckle sucks with 200. Scizor CAN beat Steelix one on one, but a special sweeper needs maximum special attack and Focus Blast if they wanna stop a Blissey. You can't really stop a Scizor with plus 6 attack, but you CAN stop an Azelf with plus 6 special attack. Therefore, I'm not using many special attackers.
