I've been thinking, doesn't it seem kinda elitist that only me and ninplayer are allowed to accept Pokemon into the Dex? Well, it feels that way to me.
So I'd like to try something. It's a public approval system that worked out pretty well in the previous project I worked for. This system gives all of our users more say as to what goes in and out of the Dex.
- If you feel that a Pokemon is well done and think it's a worthy addition, you can post saying that you Accept it. - If you feel the idea could be good but needs work, then you would post saying to Refine it. - If you feel that the idea just won't work out and isn't worth pursuing, you can Reject it.
And try to include reasons for your verdict. A conclusion with no backing accomplishes nothing.
Then me and ninplayer could make our verdict based on not just what we think, but also how the public feels about it.
This system, however, won't take effect until you guys say you approve of it.

Good, but make sure not to count what the creator of the pokemon says about it.

No problem But the only reason you dont like it is because you need to work on somethings on your pokemon, thats all

The only reason I don't like it is because it's a bad policy and we have mods for a reason.

Yes, to keep control of boards.
Not to accept pokemon.
That isnt the main reason for mods.

Lol?
If I wanted you people to have a say in the Pokemon getting accepted or rejected, I would've asked you to.
If you haven't noticed, it seems like KE and I have everything under control, and none of you people know ANYTHING about the metagame so your opinions are more or less biased on what you think is cool or not.

Don't think I just pulled this system out of my sleeve. I've been involved in other projects using it, and it worked to great success.
The problem with leaving this duty solely to moderators is that it could possibly create the illusion that favoritism is what gets your item approved, not quality. I'm not saying it will happen, just that I have seen it happen, and it never ends well.
Plus, it's good to tell people that their Pokemon needs work and give suggestions rather than just rejecting it and posting your own idea. Yes, I'm directly talking about you, ninplayer. Was it really necessary to make your own Wailord evo topic, when instead you could've just given ZettaSlow suggestions based on what you thought would be better? And don't go thinking he'd be stealing any credit for what you've done either, since you and me will eventually have to go around and modify everyone's stats anyway.
