I was getting sort of tired of my other team. I wanted to make a new team, but I kind of wanted something...weird. This team 3 UU Pokemon, and is meant to battle in an OU environment. I haven't tested it yet, but I'm pretty sure it's gonna be good. This team uses more of my favorites too, rather than just who's good.
Crobat (F) @ Life Orb
Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Heat Wave
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Nasty Plot
- Sludge Bomb
As usual, I'm always the type who likes to start right off on the offensive. I went with Crobat because I love Crobat, and this set has done some major damage to me before so I want to try it. After a Nasty Plot, Crobat is going to be doing some nice damage with his incredible speed. Heat Wave decimates steels, HP Fighting OHKO's Tyranitar after a Nasty Plot, and Sludge Bomb for awesome STAB, and the poison chance is nice too.
Machamp (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: No Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 128 Atk / 128 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Bulk Up
- Dynamicpunch
- Ice Punch
- Thunderpunch
Bulk Up Machamp? Oh yes. Generally I use throw a Dynamicpunch right away, which will usually cause a switch, allowing me to start Bulking Up. Even if they don't switch, there's a chance they'll only hit themselves, giving me a nice chance to keep boosting my stats. The three punches boast awesome coverage, killing dragons, dark types, Gyarados, and lots of others.
Mesprit @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 124 Def / 36 SAtk / 96 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Psychic
- Thunder Wave
- Thunderbolt
What? You nub, you're not using Azelf! Well, yeah, Mesprit is cooler in my opinion though. This set is designed to be the ultimate anti-sweeper. The BoltBeam combo plus STAB deals nice damage to nearly everything, and Thunder Wave is excellent support, especially for my next Pokemon...
Rhyperior (F) @ Life Orb
Trait: Solid Rock
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Rock Polish
- Stone Edge
- Substitute
Subperior. I've only seen it in play once in my time on netbattle, and I got swept 6-0 by it. The devastating power of this once Rhyperior has gotten a Rock Polish is ridiculous. After just one Polish, Rhyperior reaches a speed stat of 392, outspeeding nearly anything that's not scarved. Rhyperior causes a hell of a lot of switches because it's so damn intimidating, making it very easy to get a sub and a free polish. After that, I use the great coverage of Earthquake/Stone Edge (also STAB) to sweep.
Houndoom (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 42 HP / 216 Spd / 252 SAtk
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Dark Pulse
- Fire Blast
- Nasty Plot
- Will-O-Wisp
Houndoom is just an awesome Pokemon, and he has access to Nasty Plot, which makes it an easy choice for a surprising special sweeper. Houndoom the ultimate counter to Azelf. Nasty Plot Life Orb Azelf's attacks are usual Psychic, Flamethrower, Thunderbolt/Grass Knot. One of those helps me and the other doesn't hit at all, and a Dark Pulse will rip Azelf to shreds. Will-O-Wisp is fantastic as it absolutely ruins Tyranitar and Gyarados.
Metagross @ Expert Belt
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 252 Atk / 200 Spd / 56 SAtk
Naughty Nature (+Atk, -SDef)
- Earthquake
- Grass Knot
- Ice Punch
- Bullet Punch
One of my favorite Metagross sets ever. Not many Swampert like being OHKO'd by a Metagross Grass Knot. I use Expert Belt because with this set I'm mostly trying to kill things like Tyranitar and Salamence. Life Orb just makes him die quicker, and Expert Belt just helps with the key KOs I'm trying to get with this guy.
Rate, harsh criticism needed.
