My proposal:
A series of islands and such, similar in nature to the Sevii islands and the Battle Frontier, but each with a complex environment, storyline and theme and not really an archipelago, in otherwards, they're all spread apart around Sinnoh and require you to use different ports to get there.. I was thinking one could be an icy wasteland with ice pokemon(obviously) and an icy cave, labyrinth or temple.
Also, for the Battle Frontier, keep it on a seperate island, but make it more like Emerald's battle frontier, with more events them Platinums and secret dungeons and events, like the Smeargle dungeon and catching Sudowoodo, and possibly even a storyline of it's own.
borealis you mention your star pokemon at least once in every post. Seriously....
