Name: Coelachron Classification: Sea Ruin Pokemon Type: Water/Rock Ability: Rock Head/Swift Swim Base Stats: 115/110/130/45/65/70 (BST 535) Evolves from Relicanth by leveling up in (insert special underwater area here).
Appearance: A long and rugged stone fish with its scales different shades of brown, grey, and black. Its fins are larger than Relicanth's, its forehead is much more jagged, and it has slightly larger jaws. Its body has also become narrower at three different points, giving it the appearance of three separate rocks when seen at a distance. Its eyes are now open as well, and they're basically normal fish eyes, pale and foglike. Height: 4'1'' Weight: 95.7 lbs.
Dex Entry - COELACHRON is one of the newest species of Pokemon alive, having only evolved from RELICANTH within the past few years. - COELACHRON's body is incredibly durable, being able to weather a great many attacks without a scratch. - It is currently unknown why COELACHRON suddenly began to evolve from RELICANTH, but the evolution of many other underwater species may be the answer.

Its good, but it needs a better evolution condition. trading with a certian item is being used to much. How about level up in underwater ruins?

P.S. niny is right though. It would have to tone down.

Relicanth? Good?
The only thing it has going for it is non-recoil Head Smash, which you don't even get if you opt for Swift Swim. Water/Rock is an absolutely abysmal defensive typing, and Relicanth is incredibly slow and can't really take any kind of special attack.
Granted, Coelachron doesn't take special hits much better, boasting only 15 more base HP. But still, the ability to hit much harder with Head Smash off of a respectable Speed would maybe allow it to see a bit more competitive light.
@pokefan: That can be decided once we actually have a map.

niny, people won't try out every single pokemon just to see if its good or not. They pick who they think or know is good and use them. Don't expect him to see Relicanth the way you do.

Actually, I have. Many times. Relicanth is one of my favorite Pokemon.
However, despite that, its flaws are easy to see and, in most cases, far outweigh its strengths. It sorely wants the benefits of both of its abilities, but instead has to settle for a weaker alternative to one in order to use the other. The Rock Polish set is probably the best Relicanth can do, though I'd rather use Rampardos for that in the lower tiers, personally, because base 90 attack isn't really that inspiring.

Shut the hell up you suck at Pokemon and know next to nothing about it. Same here, ironically. It's defenses make it pretty hard to bring down, and in UU with the right support, I've swept teams before o.o
