This is my main team since the release of Platinum. I've used this team with minimal to no changes for many months now. It has netted me 150 wins and 103 losses as of right now in NetBattle.
Here it is:
Gyarados (F) @ Life Orb
Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Waterfall
Screw setting up Stealth Rock with my lead, I like to start right off the bat with sheer strength. While most other leads use stealth rock the first turn, I use dragon dance, and begin to pwn. I've swept entire teams with this guy without ever even switching. Now THAT is sheer strength.
Heatran (F) @ Life Orb
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 Def / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Naive Nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Dragon Pulse
- Earth Power
- Explosion
- Fire Blast
One of the best Pokemon ever created. Comes in for fire attacks aimed at Bronzong for the boost. Fire Blast, Earth Power, and Dragon Pulse offer amazing coverage, and Explosion is just the big boom for when he's about down.
Jolteon (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Shadow Ball
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt
GyaraJolt. Ever heard of that? Well, it works. If Gyarados isn't too sure about himself and is scared of an incoming thunderbolt, I'll go to Jolteon for the free switch in. Most people expect SpecsJolt and switch. This allows me a free substitute, and next turn I can attack under the safety of my sub. Thunderbolt is incredibly powerful STAB, while HP Grass is my main attack against Swampert. Shadow Ball kills Ghosts and is just filler, really.
Tyranitar (F) @ Life Orb
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Crunch
- Dragon Dance
- Fire Punch
- Stone Edge
I only really bring this guy in late game because I hate Sandstorm pelting my guys. Once most things are dead or weakened, Tyranitar meanders on in for a DDance or two and just rapes things. Fire Punch because I hate Scizor.
Dragonite (F) @ Life Orb
Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 116 Atk / 192 Spd / 200 SAtk
Rash Nature (+SAtk, -SDef)
- Draco Meteor
- Fire Blast
- Superpower
- Thunderpunch
Seriously. Dragonite>Salamence forever. Dragonite survives so much longer, and Superpower is a GODSEND, being better than Brick Break in every way. This guy kills so much, and is my main switch in to Blissey.
Bronzong @ Light Clay
Trait: Heatproof
EVs: 252 HP / 152 Def / 104 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Light Screen
- Reflect
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic
Yeah, you're reading right. Dual Screen Stealth Rocking Statusing Bronzong. Cower in fear, as you can't even touch it when both screens are up, and he sets up rocks and poisons you. Cower.in.fear.
